Elden Ring has been out for nearly two weeks now and, if you're like methen, you're playing Elden Ring Runes through the sprawling gothic world that is The Lands Between. There aren't all players taking their time playing the game one speedrunner was able to rip through the action-RPG of FromSoftware in only two-and-a-half hours...without ever dying! Color me jealous.
As was reported by PC Gamer, YouTuber niko bellic--not the GTA IV protagonist--posted a video last week about the Elden Ring speedrun. The race started off in the same way. Niko selected the Vagabond as a good starting class with a high health pool as well as a good strength stat for their first run. Following "dying" the one required time in the beginning of the game, to an arm with multiple arms Grafted Scion and skipping the training area, niko hit the main realm in Limgrave and immediately started sprinting to the three Sites of Grace, which provides you with Torrent. The stalwart horse isn't merely a get-out-of-jail-free card should you encounter a hard-ass boss, it's also a necessity for exploring Elden Ring's massive world. The double-jumping horse is the reason why niko was able to speed up the game.
You'll know how the rest of the marathon was. Niko skipped most fights. Instead, they opted to go through whole areas just to pillage them while running through the Lands Between, only stopping to take down mandatory bosses like Margit or the Fell Omen. Niko beat a few optional bosses in the past and took damage all through the course, but they were able to smash Elden Ring with the starting armor, without taking a fatal blow. Wild!
What I find impressive about niko's speedrun , is how skillful it is. He utilized a number of vulnerabilities, like one that resets enemies while keeping your spot by quickly closing the race. In other words, niko proved to be an absolute pro. Most enemies were killed within a matter of minutes and the boss encounters didn't last more than 10 or about a minute. That's the thing I love about FromSoftware games: watching folks with a deep understanding of the genre simply ruin them.
As far as I am able to see, the niko's death Elden Ring speedrun is the fastest posted. The site Speedrun, which catalogs an extensive listing of games and the speedrun times that runners complete they complete, doesn't include anything listed regarding Elden Ring right now. There are some YouTube videos showing other players speedrunning the game faster than niko. For instance, one who claimed to beat the game in less than an hour, however nobody's beat niko's death run. Not yet, anyway.
Elden Ring is one of the most popular games on the market in the present. While the numbers have since decreased, the action role-playing Elden Ring Runes buy game broke Steam as well as Twitch records shortly after its February 25 release. There are also hacks and mods for the game, and it's only time before players discover the many secrets within the Lands Between, if they didn't already.
